Timeless Classic

The residence’s exterior architecture is organised around a symmetrical composition with a clear hierarchy. Two principal two-storey volumes flank the central entrance, united beneath a pair of adjoining hipped roofs. Their shallow pitch and overhangs establish horizontal continuity, while the central recess adds depth and clearly defines the entrance.

Tall arched openings are the defining feature of the façades. Their repetition establishes a consistent rhythm, while small projecting balconies with metal railings reinforce the composition’s vertical character. At ground level, larger semicircular openings carry greater visual weight and connect the façade with the landscaped courtyards. The design reinterprets neoclassical and Mediterranean references through restrained proportions and subtle decorative details.

The contrast between light-coloured render and natural stone cladding defines the project’s material palette. Stone is used selectively at the entrance, on the chimney stack, and along the boundary walls, creating continuity between the residence and the edge of the plot. The tall timber entrance door and matching garden gate add warmth and establish a sequence of thresholds leading from the street to the private courtyard.

Low planting in front of the façades softens the solidity of the stone while preserving the clarity of the architecture. Along the sides, covered outdoor spaces with timber elements provide shelter and shade, creating places for everyday use with views towards the wider surroundings.

After dark, lighting accentuates the rhythm of the openings, the depth of the central entrance, and the textured stone surfaces. The result is a residence with a distinctive presence and a measured sense of openness, where neoclassical symmetry meets a calm architectural expression.
