Asymmetry Symmetry

The architectural composition develops vertically, taking advantage of the corner plot and the building’s ability to open towards multiple orientations. The arrangement of one apartment per floor is clearly expressed in the façades, where each level reads as an independent horizontal unit while maintaining the coherence of the overall volume.

Large perimeter frames finished in light-coloured render are central to the design. They wrap around the balconies, forming an intermediate zone between the apartments and the natural surroundings. Their generous depth creates sheltered outdoor spaces, provides shade, and enhances privacy while preserving views of the landscape.

The composition moves away from strict symmetry through a sequence of shifted volumes, projections, and recesses. The building’s two principal sides acquire distinct characters: one is defined by a rigorous, almost cubic frame, while the other features smaller balconies and dark vertical surfaces. Glass balustrades preserve unobstructed views and allow the balconies to read as natural extensions of the living spaces.

At ground level, the recessed building volume creates covered parking and a sheltered entrance threshold. This gives the base a sense of lightness, with the upper floors appearing to float above the white columns. Low boundary walls, subtle planting, and carefully defined approaches organise the transition from the street to the building while maintaining its visual connection with the immediate surroundings.

The roof garden combines an open terrace with a lightweight sloping canopy. Its contrasting geometry softens the rigour of the cubic volumes and creates a distinctive silhouette against the horizon. Linear lighting within the balcony recesses highlights the depth and rhythm of the composition after dark.

The result is a residential building with a multifaceted exterior identity, where each full-floor apartment is expressed as a distinct home within a unified architectural whole.
